How do I select a doctor?

You can search and choose the doctor who suits you best in the available dermatologist list. The list includes the expected arrival time of the report and the examination fee next to the names of the doctors.

How do I receive the prescription?

If the doctor prescribes medication, an e-prescription will be uploaded and you can collect it from any pharmacy in the country after the report has arrived.

How do I receive the invoice?

The invoice will be sent to you via email along with the report. If you require a VAT invoice, please enter your details in the last free-text question (description of symptoms).

Can I purchase a dermatology consultation online with a health savings account?

Absolutely! Please enter the name and membership ID of your health savings account in the last free-text question (description of symptoms).

How do I receive the medical report?

The report is attached to the doctor's response and can be opened using the "PDF code" found in the settings menu of the MedInnoScan application (accessible by clicking on the gear icon.)

How quickly does the dermatologist respond?

On the doctor selection screen, each doctor's expected time for processing your case is displayed. (The doctors are listed in ascending order of their offered deadlines.)

Can I submit a case anytime?

Yes, the computer never sleeps, you can upload your skin problem at any time, even at three in the morning.

Can I submit a case on behalf of a family member? Whose information should I enter in that case?

Yes, you can use the application to submit a case for someone else.
Please note that you can only do this with the consent of the patient! Submitting a case for someone without their consent constitutes unauthorized data processing. In the case of a child or an incapacitated patient, you must obtain the consent of the parent or legal guardian.
In this case, you log into the application with your own name, but you need to provide the patient's information and take photos of their ID cards, not your own.

Do I need to purchase multiple consultations for multiple skin problems?

It is not necessary to purchase multiple consultations. You have the option to take up to 10 photos, which can include multiple skin conditions.

Can I upload a photo taken outside the application?

Yes, you can attach a photo taken outside of the application. Start the photography part of the examination and use the "Attach from Gallery" button (located to the left of the capture button.) Please note, in order for this function to work, you must have given access to your photo gallery to the application.

Is it possible to use online dermatology from a desktop computer?

Unfortunately, it is only available as a mobile application and cannot be used from a desktop computer at the moment.

How does the application know that I have purchased a consultation?

The application recognizes your purchase based on using the same username (email address) and password in the MedInnoScan application and the teledermatology website.

How do you protect my data?

Your data is stored on a server in Germany with full encryption. Only encrypted data is sent and received, which external parties cannot read.

The application is not compatible with my phone. What can I do?

Borrow a phone for fifteen minutes to complete the examination. The photos and data are stored encrypted on the device and are deleted from there after uploading. Therefore, the original owner of the device will not be able to see the captured photos or your answers to the examination questionnaire. Just make sure to write down the "PDF password" from the "Settings" page (gear icon) before returning the device, so you can open the report received via email later.
Before returning the phone, make sure to click the "Log out" button in the same "Settings" page so that the original owner of the device will no longer be able to view the PDF password even. (If you don't log out, the PDF password will remain visible.)

The front camera cannot be used. How can I take a photo of my face?

You can attach photos from the gallery, so you can use the front camera to take pictures in advance and then attach them in the application.
Alternatively, you can still take a photo of your face within the application by standing in front of a mirror and capturing yourself in the reflection. It's a bit more complicated, but a higher quality image can be obtained if you take a photo of yourself and view the phone's screen through the mirror.

Do you have customer service available by phone?

Yes, our colleagues are available during working hours to answer your questions regarding the use of the application. Please note that they cannot provide medical advice! They also cannot provide an exact timeframe for when you will receive your report. You can reach our support desk with technical issues with the application at the following phone number, both in Hungarian and English: +36 30 321 6463.

How can I download this application?

Depending on the type of your phone, you can download the application from different sources. For iPhone devices, you can find our application on the App Store. For Android devices, you can find it on the Google Play Store or the Huawei AppGallery. Alternatively, simply search for "MedInnoScan" in these stores, and you will find our application (with a blue logo on a white background).
Once you find the application, click on the "Install" button, and the app will be downloaded and installed on your device.

I can't find the application in the Google Play Store or the App Store! What should I do?

This situation occurs when you do not have a Maltese or Hungarian registration with Apple or Google companies. The application is only available in these countries and provides dermatology services specifically for residents there. If you do not have such registration, you can directly download and install the application for Android devices from here. If you have an iPhone device, please contact our customer service for assistance with the installation.
